Exhibition information:

The Forge Gallery at Wychwood is newly opened in Ascott-under-Wychwood (10 minutes from Chipping Norton). The building is the old forger's cottage which dates back to 12th century at the heart of the beautiful quintessential Cotswold village. I am hoping that the gallery will be a place for people to find something beautiful and special for themselves and for someone special; for the local artists to showcase their art; and eventually for art workshops to share the joy of art. The first collection is the combination of delicate botanical art with pencil and watercolour by Junko Sakai #junkosakaiart, magical tree sculptures by Christopher Townsend #lovethetreeart, gorgeous flower art by Sally-Ann Betts #orchardhousebloom, colourful pop art of celebrities by myself #motokoalacarte and more.

It has been a mesmerising path and I am so grateful for all these people who supported me throughout and feel privileged to be a part of this huge creative community in Oxfordshire and of the exciting group of the Oxfordshire Artweeks.

Gallery owner, Motoko Aritake-Wild
